Planning and Zoning Commission approves final plat for Public Storage Lewisville

The Planning and Zoning Commission on May 20 approved the final plat for Public Storage Lewisville, a 2.125-acre lot at 1419 South Stemmons Freeway, in a 7-0 vote.
Staff told commissioners the plat was originally submitted in 2023 and therefore must follow the rules in effect at that time. Staff said comments from 2023 were sent to the applicant, the applicant had addressed those comments and the plat was “now ready to be approved and filed.”
Commissioners offered no substantive questions during the hearing. Commissioner Francesca moved to approve the final plat; Commissioner Joshua seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission is a recommendation; the item will go to the City Council for final action at a second regular hearing on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 7 p.m.
