Entrepreneur announces first Minnesota Chicken Salad Chick to locate in Apple Valley

A resident told the Apple Valley City Council on May 22 that he plans to bring the first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant to Minnesota and is negotiating a lease for a retail space in Apple Valley.
"My name is Michael Bogart, and I'm gonna be bringing the very first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant to Apple Valley," Michael Bogart told the council during the audience participation portion. He said the chain has about 300 locations nationally and the nearest to Apple Valley is currently in Coralville, Iowa.
Bogart said he and the landlord have a signed letter of intent and attorneys are working on the lease for a site he described as a roughly 3,100-square-foot space between a Five Guys restaurant and a tile shop. He noted the concept is a fast-casual restaurant that serves 16 flavors of chicken salad and that the business already has a branded vehicle in town.
The mayor and council members welcomed Bogart’s announcement and thanked him for introducing the project; no formal city action was requested at the meeting.
