The Southborough Zoning Board of Appeals continued the comprehensive-permit hearing for 250 Turnpike Road to June 18, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. to allow Lucas Environmental time to review and comment on a recent migration study submitted by the applicant.
Attorney George Bonon and project representatives said the migration study's final report has been completed and delivered to Lucas Environmental but that the peer reviewer had not supplied a timeline for its comments. The board agreed to continue the hearing and suggested a special meeting could be scheduled earlier if Lucas Environmental requested more time.
The applicant said it had filed an extension letter with staff extending the review deadline to July 31 to avoid statutory automatic denial. The board also discussed stormwater-related correspondence from an abutter and agreed staff would forward those comments to the appropriate peer reviewers, including the town's stormwater reviewer if needed.
Separately, the applicant reported changes to subdivision easement plans after peer-review comments from Land Design Collaborative: the easement line was expanded around the proposed septic leaching field, and riprap next to a detention basin was reconfigured to lie outside a 20-foot no-disturb setback. The applicant told the board updated plans would be submitted shortly and expected to be ready for endorsement at a future meeting.
The public hearing was continued to June 18 at 7:30 p.m. and the record will be updated when peer-review comments and revised plans are submitted.
