Grant County Fiscal Court on May 20 appointed Eric Walters to the Grand County Planning & Zoning Commission to fill the seat vacated by Marlon Kinsey.
Judge explained that Kinsey, who had served several years on the commission and is active in local nonprofit racing events, requested to step down and recommended replacing him with a community-involved property owner from the county’s southern area. Judge said he reached out to Eric Walters, described Walters as "very involved with the community," and proposed the appointment effective the meeting date; the court approved the appointment by voice vote. The term was recorded to expire Oct. 31, 2027.
A motion to appoint was made and seconded; the fiscal court approved the appointment by unanimous voice vote. The appointment was recorded as effective May 20, 2025.
