At the July 22 board meeting Dr. Bowers said the paved area is temporary and will be returned to grass when construction ends. He told the board: “Weare creating a temporary space during construction to make sure that our band has a place to practice which is really important for them. And it also creates some more parking as we have going to have some parking challenges next year.”
Board members asked about public visibility and signage. Dr. Bowers said the construction fence is still up and that “when that comes down, the new sign should come up.” He added he would share the fence‑removal date with the board when it is scheduled.
