Delaware County commissioners approved a low-bid contract for East Alum Creek Interceptor rehabilitation and authorized the county’s second and final one-year extension of a vacuum-truck rental and services contract.
Tiffany Mag, Director of Environmental Services, told the board the interceptor contract will install a cast-in-place liner in a 21-inch concrete sewer along Africa Road that crosses under U.S. 71 and Jaycox Road. “This is our second and final one-year extension of our 2023 contract,” Mag said when presenting the vacuum-truck extension for BCOR Corporation. She described the vac-truck service as large-scale pumping, hauling and disposal used to clean tanks and large wet wells.
