The Park County Board of County Commissioners on May 20 approved amendments to timelines for two Community Wildfire Protection Plan contracts funded through the CWPP grant program.
Paul Spindler of the county attorney’s office explained that delays in federal funding had pushed back contract timelines; the amendments realign project deadlines to when contracts were actually approved. The amendments affect two contracts: one with Vibrant Planet and one with MC Fire LLC.
Commission discussion noted there is no county match required for these grants. Commissioners said the amendments are administrative adjustments to previously approved contracts to reflect the delayed start caused by late federal funds. Motions to approve both timeline amendments were moved, seconded and carried.
No change to the scope or funding amounts was described in the meeting record; the amendments modify only the project timelines to match the date funding actually became available.
