Auburn council approves Mills Trail engineering contract, HVAC maintenance agreements and $53,000 cyber security retainer

The Auburn City Council approved several contracts at its May 20 meeting, Mayor Ron Anders said, including a contract with the Foresight Group for construction administration and engineering related to the Mills Trail project.
Anders described the Mills Trail project as pedestrian trails and bridges linking Wrights Mill Road and Moores Mill Road with three bridges over Town Creek and its tributaries; the project will add "almost a mile of walking opportunity" in the Town Creek area. The Foresight Group contract covers construction administration and engineering services for that work.
The council also approved annual HVAC maintenance contracts: one with Affordable Comfort Cooling Systems Plumbing for parks and recreation facilities and one with Climate Services for HVAC maintenance at public works and public safety buildings. No dollar amounts for the HVAC contracts were provided in the mayor's summary.
In addition, the council approved a cyber security retainer with SHI International for $53,000 to protect municipal cyber infrastructure, Anders said. The mayor's remarks did not include the retainer's term length or scope beyond the general purpose of protecting the city's cyber infrastructure.
