Pasco introduces Haley Miller as new director of Community and Economic Development

The commission meeting included an introduction of Haley Miller as the City of Pasco’s new director of Community and Economic Development.
“Thank you, Craig,” Haley Miller said after being introduced; she told commissioners she previously worked in a comparable role in Marysville and recently completed a comprehensive-plan process on the West Side. “This will all be repetitive but exciting,” Miller said, and added she looks forward to working with the commission and the community.
Chair Kim Lerman and commissioners welcomed Miller and thanked commissioners for their volunteer service. Miller said she has family ties to the area, is eager to learn local priorities and expects the planning commission will have a busy agenda over the next year given the comp-plan update and related projects.
No formal appointment vote was recorded in the planning-commission minutes at the meeting; staff presented Miller as the new director and said she would engage directly with the commission as the city’s lead staff for upcoming planning work.
