The board did not take a separate public vote at the meeting to swear in the appointee; the district indicated a formal welcome will occur at the next scheduled meeting.
Board members also noted an upcoming personnel change on the board itself: the meeting included remarks acknowledging the end of Mr. Puccio’s term and welcoming Gabby Elfand to the board; speakers said Elfand will take Mr. Puccio’s seat.
