The Planning Commission approved an updated sign plan for Cromwell, concluding that the proposed channel-letter signs fall within the allowed sign area and ordering the applicant to specify the raceway color as white.
Staff’s report established that the tenant occupies a space with two frontages; the calculated allowable area based on frontage was within limits and the proposed individual black channel letters mounted on a raceway presented no area-based problems. Staff asked the applicant to confirm the raceway color. The applicant and commissioners confirmed the raceway would be white.
A motion to approve the sign plan with the raceway specified as white passed with a second and a unanimous voice vote. Staff will record the color in the administrative file and issue the permit when the final shop drawings are submitted.
