Council awards $81,380 contract for phase 1 wayfinding signage to Blink Signs

The Enterprise City Council voted Tuesday to award a bid for phase 1 of the city’s wayfinding signage program to Blink Marketing Inc., doing business as Blink Signs, for $81,380.39.
Barry Mott, the city’s purchasing agent, introduced the budgeted project and said Blink Signs was the sole bidder. The phase 1 work will place directional signage around the bypass and in downtown Main Street locations to point travelers to destinations such as the hospital and parks, staff said.
"This is phase 1. So phase 1 is, somewhat around the circle, the bypass, and then, some downtown as well on Main Street," a staff member explained during the presentation. Mott told the council the bid came in under budget.
Council members moved and seconded the award; the motion carried by voice vote with no record of individual roll-call votes in the transcript. Staff said the project will replace existing green directional signs that contain errors and are scheduled to be updated in this initial phase.
No objections or public comments were made during the bid award. Procurement documents and installation schedules will be managed by the Community Services and Recreation Department and the purchasing office.
