The Greenfield Common Council on May 6 approved special-use permits and site-plan reviews for Mystic Tasha (a proposed psychic-services office) at 4535 West Forest Home and for Kawa Coffee at 6141 West Layton.
Planning staff told the council Mystic Tasha would operate in a multi-tenant C-2 zoned building with proposed hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The planner said the property owner has already made exterior improvements — repainting trim and railings and planning landscaping for the planting season. The Plan Commission recommended approval on April 8, and staff reported the city had received no letters of support or objection. The council approved the special-use permit and site plan by voice vote.
Kawa Coffee’s application covers a roughly 3,200-square-foot suite with proposed hours of 7 a.m. to midnight. Planning staff said the whole building requires 70 parking spaces but only 54 are available; the common council may waive that shortage. The Plan Commission recommended approval on April 8, and staff reported no letters of support or objection. The council closed the public hearing and approved the special-use permit and site plan; a roll call recorded aye votes from council members present.
Planning staff and council members commended the property owner and the planning department for the improvements completed at the Forest Home address and noted the parking calculation and waiver discussion for the Layton location will be handled as part of the site-plan approval process.
