City Council appoints Mary Thomas Boyd to Board of Zoning Adjustment

Mayor Pro Tem Witten moved to nominate Boyd, saying, “I would like to nominate Mary Thomas Boyd who is a current supernumerary.” A second was called and the council voted to confirm the appointment.
The nomination followed an earlier statement that there was “1 vacancy and expired term begins immediately and ends 01/20/2026,” and that longtime member Frost Rollins had resigned. A council member speaking in support said Boyd “has done a great job as a supernumerary” and that she had lived in Auburn “a long, long time.”
Under council practice, the confirmed appointment will be formalized later in the agenda, and the council recorded the approval without recorded opposition.
