President Weems replied that if the question is whether the board “remains committed to ensuring all students feel welcome and included,” the answer from the board leadership was yes. The board did not take formal action to rescind or modify the proclamation at the meeting; staff said they will continue to schedule interviews and proceed with the vacancy process.
