Twinsburg board approves personnel recommendations, renews administrator contracts and honors retirees

The Twinsburg City School District Board of Education approved a slate of personnel actions at its meeting, including continuing-contract recommendations for licensed staff, renewal of administrative contracts and a memorandum of understanding for an MTSS coordinator.
The board accepted certified, classified and supplemental personnel recommendations as listed in the meeting exhibits and voted to renew contracts for the district’s administrative team. The roll-call votes recorded unanimous approval (5-0) on both the personnel recommendations and the administrative renewals; motions were moved and seconded under consent agenda procedures.
Superintendent Catherine Powers introduced members of the administrative team whose renewals were recommended and asked the board to approve their contracts. Administrators introduced included Reggie Holland (principal, George G. Dodge Intermediate School), Michelle Louden (assistant principal, Twinsburg High School), Alex Popovich (curriculum supervisor), Michael Sedlak (director of human resources), Marcia Spuss (special education supervisor), Tracy Abbott (transportation assistant), John Summers (maintenance supervisor) and others identified at the meeting.
The board also approved a memorandum of understanding with the Twinsburg Education Association regarding the employment of Julianne Walker as the district MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) coordinator for the 2025–26 school year.
During the meeting the board honored the district’s retiring employees. The superintendent read a list of retirees and noted the class of 2025 retirees “combined 844 and a half years of service,” thanking them for their long service. The board held a photo opportunity and presented small gifts to the retirees.
Minutes for prior meetings were approved and other routine consent items (facility-use agreements, donations, and an overnight trip for the academic challenge team) were included on the consent agenda and approved by the board vote.
The board recessed for a short break and later entered executive session to consider the employment, discipline and compensation of public employees under board policy.
