The amendment, which the Planning Commission had approved earlier, was the subject of a publicly noticed hearing and was advertised in the newspaper prior to the meeting. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
Alderman James Baltimore moved to approve the amendment; Alderman Rick Crawford seconded the motion. The board voted in favor and the motion carried.
City staff said the change had been before the Planning Commission prior to this meeting and that public notice procedures had been followed.
