Joanna McSpadden, finance department, told trustees the $4,000,000 payment is fully funded from a general fund transfer and is flat from the prior year. “We left their budget flat,” McSpadden said, noting the museum has several operational unknowns this year, including a discovery center that will open soon and the planned reopening of its restaurant.
McSpadden said the city—s proportion of the museum—s total budget declined from 46% in fiscal year 2025 to 39% in the coming year.
Trustees approved the resolution by voice vote. No follow-up tasks or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
