Trust reauthorizes Scissortail Park support as operating budget falls 5%

The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust on May 20 approved the joint resolution for Scissortail Park Foundation—s annual management fee and capital fund support.
Joanna McSpadden, finance department, said the foundation's operating budget is about $5,200,000 for the year, a roughly 5% decrease from the prior fiscal year. “This is a newer facility so we're in the 60% range of the share of costs but we're certainly on a downward trajectory,” McSpadden said.
Trustees asked no substantive follow-up questions on the item and approved the resolution by voice vote.
The resolution continues the city—s annual funding approach for Scissortail Park while staff monitor the share of operating costs carried by the city.
