Board members asked about neighborhood reaction; staff noted a phone call from a councilor who opposes the request because of its effect on the agricultural district, but other members said the parcel’s remote location made the use more acceptable than it would be in a compact residential neighborhood. The board emphasized the STL permit requirements — including an emergency contact and compliance with garbage, parking and noise rules — and warned that failure to follow conditions could lead to rescission of the STL permit.
The board voted to approve the special exception and directed the applicant to meet the STL permit conditions spelled out in the zoning chapter.
