Commissioners discussed how to distribute the printed executive summary of the borough comprehensive plan and where copies should be placed for public access.
Chairperson Wickenheiser said she had obtained copies from Heather and that the Columbia Economic Development Corporation (Columbia EDC) had distributed copies to its board. She suggested giving additional copies to the Lancaster County Association for Realtors and local realtor offices so they could keep a few on hand for walk-in inquiries.
Commission discussion included specific copy counts: Wickenheiser proposed sending roughly 20 copies to realtors, one exchange mentioned 100 for council, and members agreed informally to set aside about 35 copies for various offices. A staff member or commissioner volunteered to deliver copies to the realtors’ offices.
Members also confirmed that a paper copy would be provided to borough council at the next meeting. Chairperson Wickenheiser noted the local printer, Art Printing, produced the summaries.
No formal motion to distribute or an allocation of a printing budget was recorded in the transcript. Distribution arrangements were discussed as outreach and informational steps to increase public access to the plan’s executive summary.
