The Columbia River Planning Commission voted May 21 to recommend approval of Ordinance 9-57 to borough council and Lancaster County Planning. The ordinance makes changes to tables of permitted uses, definitions and other sections of the zoning ordinance, commissioners said.
Chairperson Wickenheiser told members the commission had reviewed the ordinance at a recent workshop. After discussion the commission voted to forward a recommendation to council; the motion was moved by Member TIFF and seconded by Justin and carried by voice vote.
Wickenheiser said Lancaster County Planning will also review the measure, and that the commission received the ordinance package at the same time as county review. The transcript records that the commission had discussed the item at a workshop and was not redoing that substantive workshop review during the meeting.
No amendments were recorded during the May 21 meeting; commissioners indicated the packet materials reflected the version they were recommending. The recommendation will be transmitted to borough council for formal consideration and to Lancaster County Planning for concurrent review.
