County staff reported that during demolition of the old jail, contractor Renasant located utilities and identified interior courthouse repairs. Nautilus Insurance, identified in the meeting as the insurer, paid $9,813.44 for those repairs; staff asked the commissioners to release the payment and the board approved the release by unanimous voice vote.
The staff member who presented the item said the payment covered parts replaced inside the courthouse and that the county would release Renasant and the insurer from further payment obligations related to that amount.
