The Osseo Area Schools Board voted 6-0 to ratify two employment agreements covering confidential support specialists and administrative professionals, district human-resources officials said.
Yvonne Shores Lind, executive director of human resources, presented highlights of both agreements. The Confidential Support Specialist (CSS) contract — covering 10 employees in confidential functions such as human resources and payroll — runs July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026. The package includes a 5% increase in year one and a 1.8% base increase in year two; the district described the total financial investment as $94,101 over the two-year term and characterized the package as an 8.87% total increase.
The Osseo Administrative Professionals (OAP) agreement covers 118 employees in administrative support roles for the same July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026 term. The OAP deal includes a 5% base increase in fiscal year one, a 2% base increase in fiscal year two and a one-time eligible stipend of $1,000 for employees meeting agreed eligibility criteria. The district reported the total cost of the OAP agreement as approximately $760,556 over the two-year agreement (6.51% total increase).
Both agreements include changes to paid-time-off schedules, district benefit-match and cost-share provisions and additional memoranda of understanding in the OAP agreement to form two labor-management committees. Shores Lind said both settlements fall within the financial parameters the board set earlier.
Director Thomas Brooks moved approval of the CSS contract; Director Sarah Mitchell seconded. The motion passed 6 to 0. Director Kelsey Dawson moved approval of the OAP agreement; Director Keith Tate seconded. That motion also passed 6 to 0. Shores Lind said human resources and payroll will begin implementation upon ratification.
