The Cheyenne Public Services Committee on May 19 approved a resolution certifying compliance with Wyoming Statute 15‑1‑402 to begin a city‑initiated annexation of several county pocket tracts in East Cheyenne, generally bounded by Del Range Boulevard, Dry Creek, Whitney Road and Charles Street.
Staff said planning held a meeting with property owners on May 5 and that the meeting went more smoothly than prior ones, with many questions answered. Connor White of the Planning and Development Department said the timeline would bring the public hearing before City Council on July 14 and a final consideration in August; staff will mail certified letters to property owners and notices to neighbors within 300 feet.
A committee motion to forward the resolution passed by voice vote and will be placed on the City Council agenda for consideration.
