Wichita County approves $5,587 command cabinet for emergency management pickup

Wichita County Commissioners Court authorized $5,587 May 20 to outfit an emergency management pickup with a command cabinet after county staff said attempts to repurpose existing cabinets were unsuccessful.

The court approved 4 Wheel Performance estimate number 29702 for $5,587 to be paid from account 406, with the motion passing 5-0. County staff described the cabinet as a field command station used during incidents to display maps and support incident commanders; previous county law-enforcement vehicles had similar cabinets that staff sought to keep in place for continuity.
