The Page County Board of Supervisors approved a utility permit allowing Euron Network Services to plow fiber from a handhold east of Highway 71 and then north to a cell tower.
Page County Engineer JD King described the plan: the fiber will be placed in the ditch where the road is hard-surfaced and in the shoulder where roadway is gravel. Contractors will remove and replace gravel where necessary. The board approved the permit by motion and unanimous vote.
The board recorded that the work will follow the county’s usual permit conditions for restoration of roads and culverts after installation.
