Fairport Harbor asks county engineer to patch St. Clair Street bridge rather than close it

Village Administrator Lucas Darling told council the wooden posts on the 500 block of Prospect Street guardrail need replacement and that the village sent a letter to the Lake County Engineer about the condition of the St. Clair Street bridge. Darling said he had walked the bridge and observed exposed rebar and multiple bad sections. He noted the bridge repair project is out to bid and bids were expected in June or July; the county would need to coordinate with police and fire before any closure.
