During a committee report, staff told the board that the general manager had negotiated an agreement with Griffin to accept temporary sewer from a High Falls developer until the authority’s sewer plant is completed; the developer would later be switched to the authority's system. Staff described the arrangement as a way to help the developer build the project and retain the customer for the authority when its plant comes online.
The finance committee had recommended approval of the sewer wholesale IGA; at the meeting the motion to approve was moved by Mister Morrow and seconded by Mister Davis, and the board approved the IGA by an 8‑0 vote.
Separately, staff reported that a Request for Proposals for engineering services related to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) work had expired and that there was no active CDBG project at present.
