The Agricultural Commission approved six new agents for the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Animal Protection during the May 15 meeting.
Courtney Diehl, the Bureau of Animal Protection program manager, presented six nominees for commissioning: two agents with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, an agent with Adams County Animal Management, two agents with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and one agent with the Hudson Police Department. "We have six new BAP agents to present to the Ag Commission for approval on their BAP commissions," Diehl said.
Commissioner Colleen Peppler moved to approve the commissioner’s appointment of the listed agents; the motion was seconded and passed with none opposed. Department staff will complete commissioning paperwork and notify the appointing agencies.
