Sergei Gertrzukin, office of corporation counsel, said the Parks Board had authority under an intergovernmental agreement to award the RFP and that the BPW was being asked to ratify the agreement and contract execution. Michael Klitzing, executive director and CEO of Parks and Recreation, noted the corresponding contract had been awarded by the Parks Board previously; the resolution presented to the BPW ratified that award.
Bridal Murray, project manager for the City of Carmel, presented the gym equipment purchase for installation by G and G Equipment LLC and said the purchase aligns with the city's service agreement for rehabilitation equipment. The board approved the ratification and the equipment purchase by voice vote.
Background: The $32,700 contract ratification follows a Parks Board award that uses the city's procurement portal; the BPW vote formalized the city-level acknowledgement. The gym equipment purchase supports park/rec facilities and ties to an existing services agreement.
