The Monona City Council on May 19 approved a resolution amending the 2025 operating budget to account for property assessment services and later approved an updated contract for Assessment Services that incorporates the scope of work into the contract itself.
Councilors were told the financial terms are unchanged from the previously discussed contract; the update moves the scope of work out of a separate proposal and into the contract document. Staff noted the updated contract was emailed to council late in the day and that the contract cost is identical to the previous agreement.
A roll call vote adopted the budget amendment and subsequent roll call approved the contract. During discussion, staff confirmed the budget amendment was separate from the contract approval and that attorney Cole had reformatted the document into the city's standard contract form. No changes to the contract dollar amount were reported in open session.
