Board members discussed whether alternates could be awarded to a different bidder. A staff member said, “The low base bid. And then if if the budget could afford that, that same contractor would get the alternates.”
Board member 1 moved to award the base bid plus alternatives 1 and 2 to Masonry Restoration; Board member 2 seconded the motion. The board voted in favor.
