Plaistow reports ambulance crash; mutual aid ambulance borrowed and insurance claim filed

Plaistow’s town manager told the Board of Selectmen on May 19 that an ambulance transporting a patient was involved in a crash earlier that afternoon; all three crew members and the patient were checked and reported OK.
Greg (Town Manager) said the ambulance sustained radiator damage and is not drivable. Town officials borrowed an ambulance from a neighboring town to maintain service while repairs proceed. The manager said he filed a claim with PrimeX insurance. He added that Kingston and Newton had offered assistance and the town was coordinating mutual-aid options.
The manager described the incident as having produced minor damage to the vehicle and no injuries. The town will assess repairs and decide whether to rotate borrowed units depending on repair time and extent of damage.
No formal vote or additional appropriation was recorded at the meeting; the board was informed the claim is filed and that mutual aid arrangements are in place to avoid interruption of ambulance service.
