The Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners on Monday approved two appointments to the town's Appearance and Beautification Committee, filling immediate four-year terms for Courtney Endley and Audrey Street.
Commissioner Taylor moved to appoint Courtney Endley; the motion was seconded and the board approved the appointment unanimously. Commissioners said Endley has attended committee meetings, is energetic, and will contribute ideas and volunteer time for projects such as the Flatiron intersection planting.
Commissioner Taylor then moved to appoint Audrey Street to a four-year term; that motion also carried unanimously. Commissioners noted Street's long family history in Harford County and her background as a pharmacist and community volunteer. Director Klein and commissioners praised the committee's recent work, saying flowers planted earlier that day were already looking established and that planters and boulders for the Flatiron project will appear in the coming weeks.
Mr. Krantz recorded unanimous aye votes for both appointments. Commissioners encouraged residents to apply for the committee's remaining vacancy.
