Other approved items included a recommendation to award a contract to Allied Val Inc. for testing, repair and recertification of safety/pressure-relief valves for boilers at county facilities for a three-year period with a total not-to-exceed $70,640, and approval of a contract for four slide gates at the Woodridge Green Valley Waste Water Treatment Plant to United Door and Dot Lehi (May 27, 2025–May 26, 2026) with a not-to-exceed amount of $53,253. The committee also approved purchase-order decreases and contract closings for several vendors (examples noted in the meeting: Centas Corporation, Metropolitan Industries, Menards, W.W. Grainger) reflecting project completions or contract expirations.
Separately, the committee approved an agreement between DuPage County and Corrosion Illinois Network LLC for funding engineering and inspection services to support water-system planning for Public Works for a period May 27, 2025 through May 26, 2034.
