The Common Council on May 19 approved several mayoral appointments.
The mayor asked the council to replace Tracy Serwatt on the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) board with Rebecca Serwatt; the council approved the appointment. The mayor said the Serwatts are business partners and property owners downtown and that Rebecca has a continuing interest in the BID.
The council also approved appointments of Jed Dalnick to the Board of Zoning Appeals and to the Plan Commission, replacing Chris Schmidt, who left the city and therefore vacated those seats. The mayor noted Dalnick had served on the Plan Commission previously and asked the council to reappoint him.
All appointments were approved on voice votes; no council member registered opposition.
Next steps: staff will process appointment paperwork and update board rosters.
