Franklin City approved a resolution to pay outstanding invoices that will close out the State Road 44 reconstruction — the Jefferson Street project — the commission heard.
Matt McIlroy, city engineer, told the commission the city received two NDOT invoices related to change orders and closeout work: one for $27,494.72 and another for $7,649.52, totaling roughly $34,000. "This resolution is for some payments for the State Road 44 reconstruction project that happened years ago. We finally got some invoices from NDOT…so that's why we're asking," McIlroy said.
The resolution (2025-17) was moved, seconded and approved during the meeting. McIlroy described the payments as final change-order costs to close the NDOT project file.
No additional discussion was recorded; staff indicated the resolution will allow the city to finalize closeout with NDOT.
