On Fourth of July planning, staff said registration for the July 4 parade is already available on the department website and that the deadline to register is June 26. Blankenship said the department typically receives 80 to 100 parade entries. He added that after the parade, FreedomFest will be at Riverview Park and that fireworks will be staged at Twin Piers that evening.
Committee members asked whether previous concerts had food trucks and whether the Chamber of Commerce had staged earlier shows; staff and other members clarified that some past concerts had been produced by the Chamber and that the department has secured food trucks for the June 6 event.
