Council member flags $10,000 P‑card charge; clerk to break down allocations

City staff said the total was included in the city’s accounting but that it had been allocated across multiple departmental line items rather than listed under the mayor’s account. The city clerk agreed to meet with Councilwoman Cuellar and explain how the $10,000-plus debit was spread among departments and to update the council expense report to better show the underlying charge.
Council members emphasized the importance of accurate public reporting. Councilman Box said the books should “accurately report” the debit charge and urged the clerk to show the actual transaction in the council expense approval report going forward.
Outcome: the clerk committed to provide a departmental breakdown and to show the charge on the council expense approval report; the council then approved payment of the bills for the period (motion to pay $502,849.46 passed, with one abstention recorded).
