Board approves May staff climate survey after last‑minute debate

Superintendent Dr. Mark Garrison confirmed the survey was board‑driven and said the administration had not helped draft the instrument because of timing constraints, though he said the administration could have provided input if asked earlier.
A motion to call the question passed 5–2 and the main motion to administer the May 2025 staff climate survey carried on a 5–2 roll call. Several trustees said they expect to refine the instrument and asked administration to accept suggested edits before distribution.
