The Weber County Commission approved Resolution 26-2025 appointing Laura Warburton to the Ogden Valley Planning Commission after a resignation left one vacancy.
County planning staff said the vacancy arose when Dave Morby resigned for health reasons; the position was advertised in the Standard Examiner and staff received a single application from Laura Warburton. Planning staff confirmed the notice was properly published.
Commissioner Jim Harvey moved to approve Resolution 26-2025 and Commissioner Gage Frower seconded. The commission took a roll-call vote and approved the appointment by unanimous vote.
Staff said additional planning commission vacancies will come before the commission in June. The appointment fills the immediate vacancy; no additional terms, conflicts, or conditions were discussed during the meeting.
