Separately, the mayor said he and Jeff Turner met twice with engineers and "come up with some alternatives potentially" for the city hall design; those alternatives will be returned to the council once engineers present them. No ordinance or contract award was made; the council received the reports as updates and did not take formal action.
Officials said the timeline for follow-up depends on engineers' presentations and potential approvals at future council meetings.
