Council designates new no-parking zones and adds streets to Belleville snow-route list

The Belleville City Council voted May 19 to add no-parking restrictions on segments of North 30th Street and related blocks, and to add several streets to the city's official snow-route list.

Specifically, the council approved: no parking anytime on both sides of North 30th Street from Summit to Columbus Drive; no parking on the odd-numbered side of North 30th Street (from North 8th Street to Summit) for July through December; no parking on the even-numbered side of North 30th Street (from 15 North 30th Street to Summit) for January through June; and the addition of these streets to the city-designated snow-route list: North 40 Second Street, North 30 Seventh Street, North 40 Fourth Street, South 20 Ninth Street, and North Pennsylvania from East B Street to East C Street.

Alderperson Elmore presented the traffic-and-parking items; the motions were seconded and carried on voice/roll-call votes with affirmative responses recorded in the meeting transcript.
