Newton County Schools announces ticketing, security and parking rules for 2024–25 graduation

Dr. Bridal, a Newton County Schools staff member, announced logistics for the 2024–25 commencement ceremonies, saying the events begin tomorrow evening at 8:00 p.m. and that “every guest, regardless of age, from adults to infants, must have a ticket to enter the stadium.”
The announcement said the district will require metal-detection security screening at the gates and urged attendees to arrive early to avoid delays. "That is our weapons detection technology that is intended to make sure that everyone who participates in graduation remains safe," Dr. Bridal said.
The district also prohibited outside food and drinks inside the stadium but will provide water stations. Attendees were told drones are not allowed and "no guests will be permitted on the field at any time during or after the ceremony." District staff said free off-site parking and shuttle service to and from the stadium will be available.
School staff directed families to the graduation section of the Newton County Schools website for additional details and reminders ahead of the ceremonies. Dr. Bridal closed by encouraging families to plan for security screening and logistics, saying, "It's gonna be a phenomenal time, and we can't wait to see you. I'll see you tomorrow night."
