County recorder’s surveyor review fee increased to match vendor charge; commission approves resolution
Summary
The Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution matching the county recorder’s surveyor review fee to the vendor charge for third-and-later reviews; staff said the county had not previously charged the fee until the third review but now needs to reflect Sunrise’s $166 charge.

The Millard County Commission on Tuesday approved a resolution amending the county recorder’s fee schedule to increase the surveyor review fee from $150 to $166 to reflect the charge imposed by the county’s vendor.
County Recorder Sarah Dickens told commissioners the change simply aligns the fee the public is charged with the amount Sunrise Surveying charges the recorder’s office for reviews. Dickens said historically the county has not imposed the vendor review fee until the third review, but the revised fee schedule must reflect the $166 vendor charge to ensure cost recovery.
Why it matters: The resolution is administrative and adjusts the recorder office’s published fee schedule; staff said the public will generally only see the fee on a third and later survey review when vendor review costs are incurred.
Commissioner action: A motion to approve Resolution 25-5-20 (amending Resolution 25-5-19) passed on the record. No roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript; the motion was seconded and commissioners voiced approval.
Next steps: The recorder’s office will publish the revised fee schedule and apply the $166 surveyor review fee when vendor review costs are billed to applicants.
