The City of Saint Charles City Council on Monday approved service agreements for fiscal year 2025–26 with the St. Charles Business Alliance for $830,000 and the St. Charles History Museum for $60,000.
Economic-development staff presented the requests and said the Government Operations Committee voted unanimously on Feb. 3 to support both funding levels. Mr. Connolly presented the Business Alliance request and noted the committee’s recommendation to the full council; the council approved the service agreement by roll call.
The History Museum’s request for $60,000, unchanged from the prior year, was likewise presented as a committee-supported service agreement. The city attorney/staff said the vote before the council was the formal authorization of the service agreements between the city and each nonprofit for the fiscal year. Both resolutions passed on council roll-call votes.
Council members did not add substantive policy changes to the agreements during the meeting; the approvals implement funding allocations the Government Operations Committee recommended earlier in the year.
