Superintendent Dr. Suzanne West said the district’s share of the cost for the coming school year is $61,146, which she described as half the cost of a police officer assigned to support schools. “The Forest Grove Police Department picks up the other half,” West said, and she told the board the agreement requires approval by the city council after the board acts.
The board approved the intergovernmental agreement as presented with all members present voting in favor; the district-level approval will be followed by the city council review.
