Village staff presented plans showing two driveways for the site and said the planned widths exceed the code maximum of 20 feet for industrial and commercial driveways. Henning, a village staff member who presented the plans, said the driveways on the plans are “greater reaching 214 feet” and explained the variance is sought because the trucks that will use the lot are larger and need extra room to enter and exit.
Staff noted wider driveways are common for this type of industrial or commercial use and recommended approval. The committee took a voice vote on the resolution; the motion was moved by Mr. James and seconded by Trustee Bogey and the chair declared the motion carried.
The committee approved the variance; no conditions or recorded roll-call votes were given in the meeting record.
