Carol Stream board approves $755,875 design contract and $2.53 million operations amendment for Water Reclamation Center

The Village of Carol Stream on May 19 approved two contract actions for the Village of Carol Stream Water Reclamation Center as part of the meeting’s consent agenda.

The board approved an engineering services agreement with Baxter & Woodman for design and bidding assistance for Headworks Improvements at the Water Reclamation Center in the amount of $755,875. The consent agenda also included Amendment No. 9 to the facility’s operations, maintenance and management services agreement for $2,528,948 covering May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026.

Both items were read into the record as part of the consent agenda and approved via omnibus motion. Trustee McCarthy moved to establish the consent agenda; Trustee Frusillone seconded; the clerk called the roll and trustees voted aye on the consent items. The clerk’s readout cited procurement authority under section 5-8-14(l) of the Carol Stream Code of Ordinances for vehicle and equipment purchases elsewhere on the consent agenda; the engineering and operations actions were approved as presented.

The engineering agreement covers design and bidding assistance for headworks improvements; the operations amendment extends and funds day-to-day management and maintenance of the Water Reclamation Center for the specified 12-month period.
